Preserving Special Flowers

If you enjoy drying flowers for crafts and decor, or if the flowers are very special to you,  try wise dry or something similar. These peonies are from a start I was able to dig up,  which belonged to my grandma 50+ years ago. I have several growing now, and I know how much she'd enjoy knowing that we are still caring for and enjoying many of her flowers. They smell heavenly. ❤️

2024 White Pine Seedlings

For those who've been waiting, the white pine trees have come in! They're rehydrating, and I'll be sorting them over the next few days. This year they all look to be close to the same size, and most will be $2.00-$3.00 each. #pinetree

Unique BeautiesThis Year

Lord willin', I will have many kinds of specialty type things available this year, to include these beauties, Dawn creek blush zinnias and vintage colored celosia, from Floret. I will include some in fresh and dried bouquets, and possibly sell some in 6 in pots as well. I'll also be growing Sunflower Steves unique and beautiful sunflowers! The availability of long time favorites, annuals and perrenials, has become next to nill locally these days. The last few years, all that I've seen available is begonias, petunias, Bonnie's herbs and vegetables, and a few random others. I treasure the long-time favorites and heirlooms such as garden phlox, Speedwell, larkspur, hollyhocks, allysum, Yarrow, snapdragons and many others. Keep me in mind this Spring, when it's time to get back out and dig in the dirt!

Watch Here to see a short  video from Floret to see what the varieties look like! 🌸🌼🌸

Weed Control On The Cheap

I'm a member of Mike's group, and have learned SO much from this man, as well as his long time members/growers.

Here's a great article on using boxes as a weed barrier. I've done this, and am fixing to lay some down again shortly. We've got quite a collection of boxes from Christmas/winter. πŸ˜…

Works great! #gardening
